I gotta agree with T. Pi Phi is very strong in the north, while ZTA is like, nowhere in the north. They don't call ZTA a southern sorority for nothing. DDD is not strong in the north as well.
And aphi is also strong in the north.
Ranking sororities nationally is basically impossible bc it varies so much by region, state, schools, chapters, etc. let's just be glad that people are going Greek at all.

That's silly, every sorority has strong chapters across the country, and no sorority has a strong chapter at every school in the US. And some sororities have chapters at tiny little schools that are stronger than their chapters at big schools.
What an absurd thing to say.

OK, I'll play.
DDD is closing weak, struggling and risky chapters across the U.S.
CHI O is biggest in # of active chapters but KD and Alpha Phi are close behind with 170+ each. KKG is no where even close to that.
AXO just closed two PA chapters for risk in one month. And one was really tawdry (just search "ski poling" and Alpha Chi -or enthusiasts can go straight to TFM).
AOPi isn't good anywhere. Theta is a non-starter in the Northeast, but gets points, along with Alpha Phi, Pi Phi and KKG for being active on highly academic campuses in the IVYs and US News Top 50 rankings. DG too, to a lesser extent.

To say "aopi isn't good anywhere" is just ridiculous. Have you personally visited and gotten to know every single aopi chapter? Or have you just read about them on this site and looked at their instagrams? Because I promise you that there is not a single panhel sorority that doesn't have ANY strong chapters. That's crazy

Yeah I'd agree that KKG, KAO, XO, ZTA, and ADPI are pretty consistently strong, usually middle or top tier, have a lot of members and have a strong national presence, but even with those sororities, they differ from chapter to chapter. All the sororities do. For example go look at Bama's AOPi compared to UF's AoPI... One is not necessarily "better" than the other but you can tell they have completely different vibes and different types of girls.

ZTA is terrible on the west coast at pretty much every chapter there, IF there even is one. They’re much stronger down South, and at some northern schools.

I read an article once that ranked them based on bunch of stuff like # of active chapters, how much money raised for philanthropy, and social media followers. Granted that it's from 2012, but I'll find it again and put the rank here just cuz. (I don't know why DPhiE wasn't on the list)

Biased bc I’m from the west coast, but DG is very strong in the whole west coast and pi Phi is strong across the northwest
