red cap

Lots of different info out there. Official site says people wearing red caps are graduating with an overall 4.0. Others say that means a 4.0 every semester. What’s the answer. Seems like if you have a 4.0 you deserve it. If you had below a 4.0 one semester or two and still managed a 4.0 then that’s an accomplishment.

4.0 over 7 semesters. All they do when you go to pick it up is look up your name and see your overall GPA.

How many Bs can I afford to get and still get a red cap? Apparently 1 B can be canceled out by 3 A+

So if it’s over a 4 in dec of grad year, you get the red cap? No every semester deal?

4.0 overall GPA. If you had a couple of A-‘s but had enough A+’s to cover those, you’re good. Basically, you needed to be on Presidents List on at least 5 of your semesters and Dean’s List ( high. Like 3.89) on the other 2.

I thought the Theta comment was a joke but looking at instas Theta does have a lot of red caps. Theta also had a lot of senior sisters and tons of cords. I was surprised at how small some of the senior groups are. Is that because the sisters drop or are they only putting some of their seniors in the photo shoots? If there are 400 girls in a house why are there so few seniors?

Quota has been 140 to 150 last several years. That would be 600ish members if zero attrition. Every house has attrition and the ability to keep seniors shows an excellent retention and member value. This is relevant for pnms to gauge quality of a four year experience.

Quota fall 2014 was somewhere in the 118-125 range but some sororities took more. Also keep in mind that not all graduating seniors make every photo opportunity.
