old row v new row (sorority)
by: ConfusedHey yall! I went to preview weekend and the invite parties this year! I plan to rush in the fall! While on campus i saw and heard a lot of old row v new row stuff! Ive made it a point to not find out which houses are new and old row just so ill choose the house, i feel i belong. I know traditionally it the oldest houses i guess! But, i was wondering what an okd row house gets thats better than a new row house! Im sorry! Im kind of clueless! And i know im going to have about ten actives tell me to keep my options open! I definately plan to maximize my options and rank on chemistry rather than status! I know the question is kind of irrelevent! I just feel kind of out of place while all the other pnms talk and i didnt even know there was such a thing!

I was just wondering about those specific houses because I am a legacy. I hear a lot of mixed reviews from people about each house which will obviously happen but I was just looking for more opinions. I'm from the north and the whole Greek life thing is not as popular so I'm out of the loop with all of the terms, I'm sorry! But if anyone on this goes to UA and is willing to give me some insight on the houses that would be very helpful!

Old row is a way of telling men who want to stay in Alabama that you’re peak marriage material if their peak aspirations include you driving a Tahoe and living in Shoal Creek. Otherwise, for anyone outside Birmingham, Memphis and Atlanta, nobody is going to know OR/NR. Congratulations that their nationals allowed a beer company to sponsor them four decades ago, it is about the only thing some of them have going for them. Any guy/girl preoccupied with this designation is insecure AF.

you need to chill. you might not have had many options when you rushed but a lot of us had a great experience! she's not pledging a house based on that stuff, so there is no reason to pick on her. id be curious too if i didn't know what that stuff meant.
