Recs are recommendations correct? And who are they from? And how important are they?

Yes recs are recommendations. They must be submitted by an alum of the sorority (some let actives write them as well). Best to have a rec from someone who is or was in the Bama chapter, but any collegiate chapter works. And you absolutely should try your best to get a rec for every single house on campus. They matter at some more than others, but they put you on the radar of the chapter and are generally very helpful.
