transferring after joining a sorority ?

So i plan on transferring out of CCU to come to Bama and i was gonna rush gamma phi because a lot of my friends are in it and wanted me to join, but i hear if i rush and join and then transfer its not the same. I was told i'll feel left out and feel like i am not apart of the sisterhood like I would feel here. Is this true? or should i wait? id rather not wait but i mean i also don't want to be the "outcast" of the sorority ? If anyone has gone through this it'd be great to let me know of your experience thanks!
