Swap Pi Kapp and Phi Gam, but honestly some of that is pretty subjective.

also possibly switch around the top 5 a bit, but honestly it's the correct top 10 and everyone is within one or two places of where they should be.

Don't like KA but they are a true UA house.

I am in the miniority I guess, but I do not think OX is a top 5 house at the University of Alabama. They may fit great at Florida or N. Carolina, but give me Pike, DX, Pi Kapp or other southern house for UA.

Last and saddest is Phi Gam. WTF? Have been hearing how they were good for 3 years but have NEVER SEEN IT. They do nothing and the guys I see are negatively impressive. Not sure I would include them in the top 10. Would seriously consider ZBT or LXA as 10th house - at least I like the guys I meet from those houses

Yeah, whether people like it or not, KA is a true UA house with good tradition.

I believe the reason OX is included in most top 5's is that they throw good parties that a lot of girls come to. They have their southern guys, but as a whole aren't very southern.

Phi Gam is down but they've been getting better since I've been here. Seem like respectable guys to me. I'd put them in my top 10.

the reason OX always seems to be in the top five seems to be for a couple reasons. They've maintained themselves among the five largest houses for something like 40 years while some of the others have fluctuated cause of probations and whatnot, so they have a pretty solid run going. OX also seems to have good parties and be pretty popular with girls. Thirdly, it's easy for them to maintain because of the shoddy performance of a lot of old row right now. They also kind of act like they are an old row house and suck up to old row more than anyone on new row except ATO. Honestly, it seems like SX, DX, Pike and Pi Kapp often get more respect by other guys.

would you put them? I agree that 5 is a pretty decent average. Some old row schmos might put them at 3 or 4, but most everyone else wouldn't put them in the top 5, so it averaging it out that seems pretty accurate.

You would rate them lower because you hate them. Lotta people do. But doesn't mean they're not # 5 . When's the last time some guy bragged abou being a sigma chi?

I kind of agree, were it not for history I'd probably have KA rounding out the bottom of the top 10 with Sigma Nu and Phi Gam. I think they're mostly allowed to remain top five because of their old reputation and to keep old row somewhat happy. A completely accurate objective rating right now would probably only have SAE and DKE really in the top 5 from old row.

I think if we were grading the juniors and seniors alone, it would be top 5. Their last two pledge classes have been terrible, which causes me to agree with the majority here, THEY ARE NOT TOP 5 ANYMORE!!

not quite sure at this point, a lot seem kind of up in the air right now, and some seem to be rising and falling within these 10, but I couldn't say for sure if some have passed others yet.

Why do some people think DX is so good? When I got here they were not considered good, now people have them just out of the top 5. I just don't see it, but hey, maybe I'm wrong.

Its because they went from like 35 guys to 160 in three years and have done a good job of getting normal attractive guys. Their bigger name band parties have helped them too
