what's the best kind of house for me?
by: Reluctant NorthernerI am a white male from New Jersey. Most of my family is from Tennessee but my parents decided to settle down up here because my dad works in the city-so I don't think I really qualify as southern in any real way. I was just wondering what the best kind of house would be for me. I've heard great things about the Old Row and the New Row, but I don't know which houses to focus on. Does it make any sense to try for an Old Row house, or will they label me as "northerner" and automatically not get along with me? And are New Row fraternities actually more inclined towards out-of-staters like myself as I've heard? Basically I don't want to look like an fool during rush by trying to befriend guys who will not like me no matter what-I just want a rewarding Greek experience that will be well worth all the hard work I'd want to put into it.

DKE, SAE, probably not. KA, no. Every other fraternity on this campus would welcome you in and get to know you. Come on down bam a way. It's not as bad as this board makes it out to be or even close. Come with an open mind and give us a chance you may never want to go back to jersey!
