pomping
by: ?why is pomping still a thing if everyone hates it? is it really that big of a part of UA's tradition?

Everyone hates studying, but more studying = more results.
Everyone hates putting the time into pomping, but pomping = bonding experience with sisters and a prettier display. You get out what you put in. What else do you expect people to do for HoCo? And it's always a competition to see who can do better.

Because no one can be the house to stop it. If one sorority decided to not be the ones to make a decoration, they would look bad. It would be so much better if all the sororities decided to get together and stop. They just keep getting bigger and bigger and it's exhausting. This year homecoming is in the middle of midterms and no one is gonna have time to study because they'll be wasting their time in the sorority house scrunching up pieces of tissue.

This is the dumbest thing ever. Think of better, more productive bonding activities. Do community service, bake cookies, plant flowers,... The time spent on rolling up tiny pieces of tissue paper is ridiculous. Stop this campus wide or at least limit the size. I can't believe the sororities and university sanction this activity. It's hazing!

Hazing? Hardly. It is what it is. A competition that takes hours and hours of time.
