sorority fees (help!)

I personally don't know about DG, but that seems way too high. I think most are more along the lines of $1,200-$2,000 a semester. You can control a lot of the price based on what extra things you buy.

I would be surprised if any sorority on this campus has dues that are less than $4000 (except of course SDT).
The sororities who just received new houses will have dues around the $5000-$6000 range, maybe even higher. These include DG, ADPi, Alpha Gam, and TriDelt.

However, assuming you will be at the Capstone from 2013-2017 paying sorority dues, you have to consider which sororities are getting new houses/upgrades in that time frame as well (which is pretty much all of them). I know for sure that Alpha Chi, Gamma Phi, and Alpha Phi all have plans. I've also heard that KD, Chi-O, Phi Mu, and Kappa are all going to be undergoing construction/renovations in the near future as well.

Being in a sorority here at Alabama isn't cheap. But it is absolutely worth every penny and will be some of the best years of your life if you pick the right one for you.

If you go to the Alabama panhellenic website, each chapter lists its new member fees. Alpha Chi Omega has the highest new member fee that is around 4,000 a semester. The average is about 2800-3200 a semester.

does that include living in the house? if not how much more is it?

I remember paying close to $5000 for my daughter per semester and she was a new row sorority and this was 2007-2011. 2800-3200?? that sounds way to low..unless fees have gone down now.

I pay $6,000 a year, if that helps any.

I currently pay a little over $12,000 a year. This includes dues, meal plan, and living in the house. Without living in the house it is significantly less.

DG is not 5,000 per semester... It's around 3,000 a semester, so around 6,000 a year. That's about average though 2,500 to 3,000 a semester.

And living in the house for any sorority is going to be more, but just depends
