So I'm from a liberal city and tattoos aren't a big thing. Mine will show during Rush. Should I cover it with Dermablend? It's not huge but it's not tiny either.

I hate to say this, but you're honestly better off covering it. it wont matter after bid day, but you could rub some girls the wrong way during rush if you let it show. you dont want something so trivial to affect your experience.

if you're legit serious about rush it is recommended you cover the tattoo up. i know sororities make their actives cover their tattoos up, if they have any. in general, its just a pc thing to do i guess.

I find tattoos so offensive! I wouldn't endorse a girl with a visible one! They're just not proper looking!

Dude, this isn't 1950. Plenty of tattoos are discreet, meaningful, and classy even if they are visible. They shouldn't "offend" you, that's just silly.

I love tattoos but cover it up. I can think of 2 good sororities that automatically cut girls for tattoos (so I've heard), one of them a member even told me they look at whether or not a girl has a nose piercing. Better safe than sorry, you never know who's gonna be rushing you and what they think about tattoos

Would you really want to be part of a "sisterhood" that is so judgmental and unaccepting. Not a fan of tattoos myself but am a fan of individuality. Probably should cover it but shouldn't have to.

Not the OP but you have to remember that the individual girls you talk to during rush may not represent the 400+ girls in a chapter. Yeah it sucks that some people are so close-minded but just because one girl hates tattoos and you happen to speak with her during recruitment doesn't mean you wouldn't like that chapter as a whole. Plus, you'd be expected to cover visible tattoos in a lot of work environments too. It's not uncommon.

Remember these actives don't know you. They have to make distinctions on a brief interaction. Tats and nose piercing is a flag for rep risk even if you are not one. Just reality you have to deal with re houses that are very careful about their rep like Axo, pm, Agd and xo

Cover it up and be prepared to be judged if it is a tacky tatoo
