how much harder is it to get into auburn than bama

I'm OOS from a bordering state of Alabama and want to go to school in the state of Alabama. Would rather go to Bama but I'm kinda looking at Auburn. Basically I'm just confused because some people say it's way easier to get into Bama than Auburn but some people say it's about the same. Alabama suggests a 3.0 and 21 and Auburn doesn't have a set requirement like that. So anyone from in-state want to tell me how hard it is to get into each school without being bias. Couldn't find this thread anywhere else so thought I'd ask here

Honestly the best way to tell is to just apply to both. They aren't massively different in terms of acceptance rate although it's easier to get merit aid at Bama. Also, go to collegeconfidential for threads about picking colleges. GR is not the place for this.
