They're nice girls who include everyone... kind of brings down the attractiveness of their pledge classes but they still get some hot ones.

This sorority was extremely misleading. They presented a false image in order to trap new pledges. Not only are the girls sloppy and unkept but they are also rude to each other. I felt it was very disturbing to hear how openly sister would bash each other behind their back. Overall I felt Theta was a very unpleasant environment and are desperately in need of nationals help.

How can a sorority give you a false image? Like is a sorority with bad sisterhood (which Theta is not, especially compared to the other houses at Bama) supposed to tell you that during recruitment?

Your rushchair was to embarrassed to show all the girls to the pnms before bid day. I was horribly surprised to arrive at Theta house only to see that they had previously hidden their less groomed members. If Thetas are so genuine why do they feel the need to hid their true image and shelter top recruites from their true house. If they have such a genuine sisterhood why do they need 200 recruites just to meet quota with all over he girls who who'll drop out.

LOL!!! You are talking about how much you don't like how they bashed people... yet here you are acting the same way, bashing away and being incredibly unkind on another chapters site on bid day! Thetas are having a great time with their new sisters! That is what you should be doing instead of posting here! No room for hate!

"Arrived at Theta house" " Top recruit" are you a pledge, if so,remember we wanted you and we thought you would be an awesome sister. You should give us time to show you that.There are hundreds of women here, so you will find friends. You drive your sorority experience! Get involved, go to stuff, reach out to women and have a great time!

Not a recruit. But a friend of a girl who went through rush. My aunt is a Theta (grandma is a Tri Delt) and I thought it would be cool to see them on bid day. I was so disappointed with how they presented themselves. Then my friend told me how boring retreat was - they literally sat for 2 days...for dinner, for a movie, for bingo, for the ball game. Other groups were out doing fun stuff and Theta was sitting in chairs like old ladies. I'm sure you're all very nice, good people, good students - but the fact that you need 195 pledges says a lot about your house. Don't attack me -but read what I wrote and see if there isn't some truth in it.

You sound like a bitter old lady whose daughter didn't get her top choice. Theta didn't NEED 195 new members--they wanted them. They are not suffering. No sorority at Alabama is "suffering." You need to pull your head out of your ass and come back down to earth. Why do you care so much what your "friend" thinks of her new sorority? She can drop if she's that unhappy, but I can guarantee you she'll be happier as a Theta than as a GDI. Theta is a great house with a reputation for having a strong sisterhood, behind involved and good grades. Your "friend" will see that soon enough. There's over 400 girls in the sorority--not everyone is going to look like a top model, and if you're expecting that, then your "friend" is in a sorority for the wrong reason. It's not all about looks and being the top house, you know.

I was invited to theta every round even tho they were my bottom house every single round. No one around me liked theta, all the conversations were incredibly awkward and very disconnected. The sisterhood felt incredibly disconnected and not a sisterhood at all. They didn't know much to anything about their philanthropy which really bothered me since it's been so impactful for me. I later found out they were inviting most every girl back just to get a class of 200 to have the $$$. Suicide bid

girls in theta are embarrassed to wear their letters, and if i was a theta, i would be too. have you ever seen a theta in her letters? exactly. sorry girls. i wish you couldve gotten a bid from a better house.
