Whoever ends up with this house remember you can COB (continuous open biding) just DONT GET INITIATED because then you’re stuck. I had so many girls complain about the sisterhood in there yet no one wanted to make an effort ever I had a junior my freshman year tell me it never gets better and she is right Don’t take this house if you can’t handle people treating you like trash and by people I mean everyone frat guys will not take you to their date parties, girls will judge you, EVEN THE GIRLS IN THE HOUSE WONT INCLUDE YOU. Remember Greek life isn’t for everyone but also remember theta sucks and you will be treated 10x better simply not being in a sorority at all then being in that. Anyone who is in it knows this is TRUE.

I don't regret being a part of this sorority but if I could have done rush over again, I would have tried harder to go somewhere else. For a sorority that prided itself on being open and welcoming, they were very cliquey, and even when I was living in the house, there were lists on EC that said I was inactive (?? was not inactive and lived in the house ??). Had some great friends in it and great involvement on campus, and definitely been on the rise in the past few years, and as I said, I don't regret the time I spent in it. However, (I'm sure many of the sororities at Bama are like this, not just Theta) be mindful if you are involved in a time consuming major or other organizations. I missed important events in other orgs I was in because they didn't count as excuses to miss events, and it's frustrating being told by elementary education majors that its my fault for not being prepared enough ahead of time for my exams and classes as a chemistry major (we learn new material the day before exams and have to study every day to keep up, so you can only prepare so much in advance for exams) and get fined for putting school first despite the whole "academics are our highest aim!!" thing. I was proud to be a part of a sorority that gives contributes to a positive representation of sororities (fun, welcoming, involved, and still focused on academics), but I was disappointed time and time again by the way they treated me and the things I cared about.

Have dealt with a few groups of KAOs and they’re very rude and will judge everything about you right off the bat.

The amount of self rank is so sad, If you go to bama you already theta is made fun of every year being the worst sorority on campus. No shot anyone comes to alabama hoping to be a theta.. Come on now y’all have a great new house but that’s about it. Let’s calm down with the self ranking snowflake BS and just face the truth.

I’ve noticed a lot of the girls in this sorority were dropped from every other house besides sigma kappa. Most of them did not or do not even want to be there. They’re known around campus as the leftovers. Don’t go out much, I’ve met a handful of rude and nice Thetas so take them with a grain of salt.
