Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority Ratings at UA

joining this organization might ruin your chances at joining a real sisterhood. nothing but regrets happen here

I joined sigma kappa at ua in September on “bid day” and dropped after a few months. This is a group of some of the meanest, shadiest, judgmental, and vindictive girls I’ve ever been around. They will lie to you about everything and suck up to you to get you to join, and then treat you like garbage. There is no sisterhood. The girls involved are only concerned about power/control and rankings. No one cares to check on eachother or show any understanding or empathy. Leaders will literally pressure you into posting positive things about ΣΚ even though they aren’t true. I was the unhappiest I’ve ever been when I was a member. I’m very disappointed that I was initiated because now I can’t experience what sisterhood truly is. They are WAY too strict on standards and the date parties literally suck. Not worth the money or energy. Do better ladies

There's this criticism that Sigma Kappas can't be categorized as any one "type." I think that's the point. They defy being any type. Nationally, they are known for being diverse and inclusive, and I think that's admirable when too many houses seek out the same cookie-cutter types of girls.

I like this chapter because it is new to the college I attend, which brought a tremendous amount of diversity to our founding chapter. Every girl is welcoming, genuine, and incredibly involved around campus, through clubs, academics, sports, leadership positions, etc. Definitely proud to be a SKista #FTOGSK

Alright so glad they're finally on campus. Right now it is the scoop house (no cuts, no bulls$$$) for PNM that just can't get higher votes maybe because they will not have recs or being just from outside of the scene like really rural or from small communities OOS. Take a bid to have fun and meet girls in the star Auburn and UAB plus have a network across the country when you graduate.

Can all of you please get your ish together. I know a lot of their members, and they're not happy. The sisterhood is A1, but the people in charge who are running it are ridiculous. It's a wonder how they're still making it.

Sigma kappa women have always been ones to go out of their way to include others while maintaining a close knit bond with each other, taking their studies seriously while being able to have fun too.

They’ve been really going hard in Greek week this year and a lot of people in my house have been impressed. After Greek sing they may not stay #1, but they performed really well in their first Greek week. I talked to a few at tug of war and they were all very sweet and supportive of other teams playing. Wishing them well in recruitment, they’ll have to work harder than everyone else but I can see them moving up in rankings in the next couple of years if they keep at it!

everyone’s first reaction to a zeta is that they’re probably a pretty “party type” girl. think they’re better than everyone but still had to spring rush, numbers dont lie:) also their freshman class needs to chill out w trash talking of other houses bc it does nothing but make you all look worse.
