No need for them to match other sororities. They have their own group and their own way of doing things - good for them!

Great sorority with such a long tradition of loving sisterhood and very open to anyone and everyone. It's nice to see a sorority that doesn't discriminate. They work so hard to be involved on campus and are also working to be involved with groups in the Greek system; the only reason they don't seem to socialize with other fraternities/sororities is because no one gives them a chance. Great group of girls, can't wait to see where they go in the future.

Nobody takes SDT seriously. I can't think of a single fraternity that will have anything to do with them. What do they get out of it, really, besides get to wear some letters? Also, why don't Panhellenic and their nationals hold them to the same standards as everybody else? If you're an NPC chapter and you don't have what it takes to be competitive, you either need to close or become a local.

Yes, they've had their struggles over the years, and yes, they operate differently from the other 16 APA chapters. But they have amazing sisterhood, many dedicated, loyal alumnae, and the full support of their national. They've been part of Panhellenic since 1951, and they've been on campus since 1935 -- longer than Pi Phi, AOPi, Theta, Gamma Phi, Alpha Phi, or DG. And despite their challenges, they've never been closed. Bottom line: Y'all do you and let them do them.

Not really a sorority on campus. They do not participate in rush, no house, not sure of their status

I understand why you might think they don't need to match other sororities.. But they do. This is Alabama.. Greek life is serious business here. I'd say get with the program and start fitting in, or just do yourselves a favor and save the embarrassment and leave.
