Have loved seeing this sorority rise from the nickname Gamma thigh a few PC's ago, pretty, skinny girls this year!! Definetly a party sorority

So I just recently rushed and was super excited when I saw that I had Gamma Phi on my schedule for pref. I went to the house and felt like i connected with the girls very well and got promised i will be getting a bid and how excited they were to see me the next day (bid day). I opened my Bid and didn't get this house and was pretty confused after how much they were telling me i was going to be a sister. Later on I heard from a great number of girls that this happened to them too, classy gphi.

Not a G Phi so I don't know for sure what they told you but I doubt they promised you a bid. We're all pretty well trained not to say anything like that. Like you said, we can tell girls we want to see them the next day, that we want them to be our little, etc. I bet that's what G Phi did and you interpreted it as a promise. No one girl or even a few girls can make that decision. Our entire house votes so the girls that told you they wanted you absolutely did want you and expected to see you the next day. They're as disappointed as you are. But they're not writing slam comments on the internet like you, so maybe G Phi dodged a bullet. Sounds to me like they're wayyy more classy than you.

this happened to me too... top house all week and they told me they cant wait to hang out with me and then told me i had a bid and then on bid day I opened my bid and it wasnt them

That's not bid promising. That's just a few girls being gracious. You should try it sometime.

The house you got a bid to probably had you higher up on their bid list than GPhi did, which is most likely why you got a bid from the other house instead. There's very little the actives can do to try to change the way the system is run.

the worst house on ua campus. girls cry when they get bids from gphi. would group them with theta and dg. lowest of the low houses on campus. big girls who couldnt get bids from any other house. get out while you can and maybe COB somewhere..

They are still way that the bottom. They are starting to take skinny girls and not the bigger ones. Improving but still not there.
