In all honesty, SAE is a top house. girls want to go there, they have a good tradition, typically associate with other cool pledge classes, but they arent over the top amazing. They get surpassed by many different houses every year and thats just the way it is. I hate when people dow rank all the good the fraternities on here KA SN SAE and especially DKE but it also bothers me that people say they are just above and beyond 'THE BEST'. In my opinion its KA....

Rude guys, horrible GPA, horrible pledgeship. This SAE got drunk with me one night and told me they made him do cocaine multiple times, they also made these guys clean a floor with their tounge, then made them scrub it with a tooth brush. They're disgusting. An SAE Pledge broke into the ferg and another one died a year ago. It was really sad. SAE is not worth the stress.

I am dating an SAE at bama even though I don't go here. I have met all of his friends and they are so friendly and nice. They're a little wild but very respectful and cool guys.

As a past member of this chapter I can honestly say that DKE and SAE are the two most desirable fraternity on campus if you value tradition. If you don't then go with new row, I’m sure they have a lot of great guys as well. They all party, it just depends on your own personal preference and other considerations; hobbies, music genres, etc. DKE are a mix of guys from Montgomery, Mobile and NOLA; where SEA are mostly Mtn Brook, Montgomery and Nashville. So go with the fraternity that is going to have more alumni in the city you want to settle in because it will definitely help open some doors that would normally be shut to you; these two know how to take care of their own.
