low gpa?

I think most houses' minimum GPA is around 2.5. I don't think any house has ever cut a girl BECAUSE of a low GPA, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Also, low GPAs are kind of expected with some majors more than others, so depending on what you're studying that may get taken into account.

I don't think you would be cut due to gpa... But maybe other houses are different. Being on the other side of recruitment I will have no idea what your gpa is while talking to you nor would I care much. First semester is rough... We get it! Good luck with recruitment :)

I think there are a lot of underlying variable when talking about GPA. If you have a low GPA, I'm assuming you're probably a STEM major? Theta is the only house that has some, but still few, STEM majors. The other of the core 4 have maybe 1-2 stem majors for every membership class. If you are a stem major, you don't want to be in those houses--trust me. You don't want to be the only one always working. You want to be with other people who are also working hard. I would consider joining a house with a lot of other stem majors. Tridelt, PiPhi? If you have a low GPA and aren't in a hard major you might have trouble because from the house's point of view you spend too much time partying and not working. We don't want girls like that.
