sorority letters of recommendation?

I'm a freshman planning to rush this spring. Are letters of recommendation a thing here? The Panehllenic Website doesn't mention them. Thank you!!!

Don't expect to be invited back to any houses after the first round if you don't have a letter of recommendation. Even if you have one, unless it's from someone at the Cornell chapter, it might not even help.

They are huge here in Cornell. The people commenting they aren’t probably don’t want you to rush so they have a better chance
