Last year girls went to a room in Risley, since there are a lot of houses on North anyway.

I ended up cutting them because I really wanted to live in and I had better conversations at other houses, but props to them for really working with what they had--the room looked beautiful.

If I get stuck with only pm (I'm low income) would I be better off gdi? I want to join a sorority to improve my social life here. What's the deal with this house

Yes PM is lacking a house and they are pretty new on campus, but they do still have mixers... I like living in my house because I get to be with my sisters all the time, but even if I wasn't, that doesn't mean I wouldn't have a social life. With that attitude you might as well stay a gdi.

...really enjoyed my rounds at Phi Mu. They were super enthusiastic, friendly, and overall did a great job considering it was their first formal recruitment. Props to them, and I hope you rethink your reasons for wanting to join Greek life before rush starts.

what does low income have to do with anything? they still have dues, and when they finalize a house, will be just as much as the others.

PM has a lot of great mixers and good relations already. asking if you would be better a gdi is such an ignorant and stupid question. Not that anything is wrong with being a gdi but very clearly - pm = mixers/events whereas gdi = none of that lol

I meant no harm not saying phi mu is bad cuz lower tier. I just heard they have no cohesion and a lot of girls have deactivated? and I heard they give everyone a bid?? That's why I said in the case I have just them..

The issue with the physical house is very close to being solved. So that shouldnt be considered in issue at all.

Last year, as a new house they had to consider as many people as possible bc panhel was showed them how to run things. But this year will be different bc they have a lot more girls to help the process out, they no longer need to follow that rule.

They mix with the same frats as others in the lower tier - but they seem to have relations with better frats than azd. Another plus to the mixing, since they are still settling in, they mix with the widest range of tiers out of anyone else. You'll see sororities like sdt mixing with the same 3/4 frats every week. PM has a few solid relations as well, but they will also mix with a new frat as often as possible.

All good things to consider!

I hate when people try to compare frat relations of houses because unless you're in that house, you really don't know what their mixer schedule is like and only go off of rumors and assumptions. 9/10 it ends up bashing one house over another. All the houses in the bottom tier have plenty of mixers. You could have just said that Phi Mu has as good a social schedule as any house in their tier, there was no need to bring azd into it
