do i have a chance

Depends. Ppl might sugarcoat and say don't look at rank because they know that you instantly get cut from certain houses. Sometimes older girls do well, but sadly you have to be established more socially for the better houses to notice you. As a senior, here's what I've noticed: (I'm just gonna put your best and worst shots in each tier)

Core 4 ( the hardest bc everyone wants them. You need to know upper class men girls to do well, which makes it hard. Also you need good social media presence. DONT suicide rush them and get dropped final round )
Best shot: theta if you know a lot of ppl and are recognizable within cornell. However a few PCs ago they took too many sophomores and might not be so lenient.
Worst shot: alpha phi bc they don't really stray from freshmen. They want girls who will live in the house the next year.

Middle (most practical, if you know people and are well put together)
Best shot: tri delt if you went out a lot this fall.
Worst: SDT bc they are a little more selective.

Lower (really easy to get a bid)
Best: AZD, axo these are considered the bottom. Basically the graveyard for girls that were unlucky, had a bad week, bad social connections, and overall weren't attractive enough.
worst shot: PSS however, they cut too many girls by being too harsh and ambitious last rush. Maybe they will humble themselves this rush.

For sophomores, The social media thing is true, a "certain house" stalks which events you went to the most recent semester before. They look at your pics during winter break and pre-decide if they want you based on that, but since they already did that, it's kinda late to change anything now. Trust me. From the time you registered, they already have an idea if they want you. For example, the Go Pink gala is one they look at. They also look at which guys in what frats you know etc. Tri delt even cuts freshman who don't have recent and frequent social media pics partying.
I will say this: this rush is gonna be hard. Bc of new chapters like PM and PSS, a lot of sophomores will be cut from the top and middle tier with preference to freshman, since there is more "space" for them in other sororities.
