Why is DG always first? I really don't understand. Is it because they're rich?

ya. they were like the traditional top house for girls with money/connections. alpha phi was actually not that hot till just like 2000's onward

yeah they used to be #1 so I guess people are accustomed to ranking them first. but their last all-around hot PC graduated in the spring of 2014, and now they're just rich with lots of less-than-pretty, wealthy girls. traditionally, they could've taken their pick of any of the PNMs, but nowadays they lose a lot of fun rich girls to kappa and beautiful rich girls to alpha phi. and wealthy international girls tend to go to theta regardless of the fact that DG wants them because of their money.

all the houses are stuck where they are for the most part because of past reputations. The entire house turns over every four years but nobody likes change. If you think someone if gonna be cool they will seem like it. Its all a self fulfilling prophecy
