I'm taking "underrated" to mean chill/cool people but not traditionally ranked high.

frats: lambda, fiji. also personally i think delta chi should be ranked higher than it always is.

sororities: pi phi, tridelt, and aephi have more gems than they're given credit for sometimes, in my opinion, though I wouldn't call them "underrated" because they're usually ranked pretty accurately.

Agreed with person above as far as sororities go. The middle tier (tridelt, pi phi and aephi) houses are very cool and genuinely like each other. They each party hard and mix with great fraternities ranging from some top-middle and even lower middle.

As far as fraternities go, I personally really like Chi Phi, Sig Pi, Delta Chi, DU and Pike. All of these houses throw down really hard and are a great time. Pike just recolonize and were really smart last year and took guys who got screwed over during rush and went to each sorority and asked girls who they should bid. Now their pledge class has guys in it that are best friends with girls who are in houses ranging from DG to PSS. Chi Phi obviously rages hard and have an extremely close knit brotherhood, although that is mostly because they are also teammates in rugby. You probably won't get in unless you know brothers. DU, DX, and Sig Pi are just generally fun with nice guys who party and are for the most part very good looking.

I would say that every single house has people that you underrate for one reason or another. The middle and bottom houses have some showstopping beauties that nobody expects and the top has some genuinely nice girls that nobody expects. This is Cornell we are already some of the most impressive people in the country if not the world for our age.

Upper tier and top tier difference is pretty small, so all uppers are underrated. Sdt is closer to the cour four than middle tier

I definitely feel like middle tier sororities--pi phi, tridelt, and aephi--genuinely like each other and have good sisterhood, which is rarer in houses (both core four and bottom tier) than you'd think. Definitely one of the best things to be said for them.
