Alpha Delt Vibe?

They are both probably just as rich. But their vibes are very different. Like AD is very international, exotic, international school type wealthy whereas Sig Phi is very preppy, old money type activities, northeast boarding school type.

And they always lose kids to other top frats and have to snap bid kids. It’s been that way for a while now. OP might have a chance at a bid if he vibes well with people

What abt those other houses? If I’m interested in rushing SX/DU, what are the odds of getting a bid if u weren’t dirty rushed (given that you vibe well there)?

would not get your hopes up at all. Even if what "Well" said is the case for AD, DU and SX are significantly harder to get bids at. I think last spring, DU gave like 20 bids and got 15 or something like that. At the same time, know a few kids from SX/DU/Sig Phi/AD/Sig Pi who got bids after turning up in smokers. If it genuinely is where you fit, give it a shot but those smokers will be absolutely packed

Yeah stuff is virtual for rush, but mid (PSK/Phi Tau/Pi Kapp/Pike) and above houses will likely all be running events at night/weekends in their annexes as it has always been with top rushes like normal in person rush. Dirty rush kids are usually kids people know from prior schools/towns/cities/clubs etc. Ideally should get invites to those low key events if you can. After seeing virtual rush in the fall, I would think its harder to stand out over zoom as opposed to individually speaking with brothers.

How would I get invited to the annex events? Through the zoom rush events I'm guessing?

just go and be yourself my guy, if you fit/vibe with the brothers in the house, you will get a chance. It is not very scientific or calculated. Interact in the breakout rooms/whatever zoom events there are

Adding onto what I mentioned earlier, given rush is virtual, I think it is a great chance for rushes to really find their ideal house as houses will have very limited clashing "virtual smokers". If you really care about social relevancy that much, I think it is very feasible to rush the top 15 (more or less from SX all the way to Mid) or so frats and go to their virtual open house to see what they are about and then narrowing your range. Very good opp that I wish I had the flexibility for when I was rushing.

This is a dream for rushes. Try to checkout all the mid and up frats during the first day or so then narrow it down. No excuses this year for not having the time to check out each house and see where you fit.

How does AD compare with Sig Phi in terms of wealth? I heard SigPhi is a very preppy/WASPy house, is it the same with AD?
