alpha phi couldn’t fill a pc?
by: wutCan someone please explain how Alpha Phi is a “top house” but couldn’t fill their pledge class last year? I heard they had to fill like 5 or 6 spots with snap bids. I’m not trying to hate but can someone explain why? Trying to understand pre rush

So when rush starts, c4 has more than enough girls to pick from. They cut until they have a reasonable amount of girls for pref round. The thing is that some of those girls will probably have DG too and end up picking DG over alpha phi, leaving alpha phi with a few empty spots If that makes sense?

okay got you, thanks for actually being helpful lol. but kappa filled their pc and I know they had dg/APhi overlap... so people picked kappa over APhi. Interesting

This is because more people final rounded kappa. Theta, DG, and Aphi only had 2 rounds (Total about 60 girls) while all other houses had 3 rounds (About 90 girls)

@ohh I think it’s more that Aphi didn’t pick enough girls. The girls that got kappa probably put aphi as their #1 and aphi didn’t rank them high enough so they ended up in kappa. Aphi made the mistake of not picking enough safety girls if that makes sense. They picked too many reaches who ended up in DG, and then let too many girls go who then went to kappa. Thus they were short a few.

every c4 house? dg and Kappa didn’t. Not sure bout theta but dg and Kappa confirmed did not
