what will happen when greek life dies?

Panhel, its time someone speaks out and lets you know the consequences of your actions.

As you repurpose an innocent kids' death to use it as a tool in your platform, you are only making the general state of Greek life on this campus even worse. This is a moment to be united, not create even more division.

This is what will happen when fraternities are gone thanks to your divisive actions:
1. There won’t be any guys there who stay sober to drive you to the bars
2. When you get to the bars you will have to flirt with some creepy towny to receive a fourth of the free alcohol you get every week.
3. There won’t be a bunch of sobers walking around to make sure that no one touches you or try to engage in bystander intervention.
4. If the police come you will be arrested for underage drinking
5. If you break something you will be fined HEAVILY
6. If you break something you may be arrested
7. If you stand on the bars tables, you will be banned
8. If you make a huge mess and spill on everyone you will be banned
9. If you get blackout and are a huge mess, its not the bars responsibility to take care of you.
10. No one will be there to watch and make sure you get home if your friends leave.
11. The university will not be there to come and inspect and make sure that everyone is safe.
12. No one at the bars has been required to take safety training like Consent EDU and Alcohol EDU.
13. There will be no special performances or concert that you can just attend for free
14. If you want to have a party with your friends you will have to clean the ginormous mess the next day and find a way to pay for all the things everyone broke or stole

If fraternities are kicked off because you’re making them even worse, you’re going to be just kicked out of the bar alone and drunk and unsafe because it's not a bars job to take care of you. Stop pushing your personal duty to remain cognizant onto other people.

It's getting ridiculous honestly, like they want to create so many rules and regulations, theyre treating these guys houses like theyre companies that are there just to entertain and protect them from the world

I swear the people at Cornell are some of the most privileged people I've ever met. It shocks me how much crap is going on. A kid died.... his death is not something to use to get things for yourself!!!!
