if there are deactivations or terminations, houses can cob to fill the chapter numbers as a whole.

it stands for continuous open bidding. houses try to keep their COB on the low but in some ways it can be really advantageous for filling house quotas as well as having a more direct say in the girls you pick. my two friends got cut from DG and Aphi very late in the game, and ended up joining my house through COB, for example. personally i'm glad they joined instead !!

Okay. You're just dumb. I'm not sure how else to say that.
Sure, there are sororities that did it because they couldn't fill their pledge class.
But any sorority can do COB, simply because they want to see who they missed out, or fill their house.
Judging a sorority based on if they did COB or not is probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.
