rushing as a transfer

by: transfer

I’m a freshman transferring to Cornell this upcoming fall and I was wondering how rush works for transfer admits. Should I try to rush in the fall or wait until the spring?

Fall rush is like a month into school and is mostly for sophomores and transfers. Its usually a few open houses and maybe 1-2 events per house. Its way more laidback than spring rush.
Pros: less intense and less competition, can be easier to get to know people and get a bid, get to participate in parties and other activities a semester earlier, pledging is usually less bad
Con: very top houses dont take fall pc, lose out on experience of joining a big pledge class

If you think Fall pledging is less intense than Spring pledging idk what y’all are doing. Smaller PCs= much more individual “attention”
