prospective rush
by: .I’ll be at Cornell next spring and I’m wondering:Does a frat’s “rank” really mean a lot? Like if a guy in a lower “tier” frat re-rushed an upper “tier” frat, would he have any chance? What are some houses that are more open to people and maybe some I should avoid?

The above comment is misleading. He is referring to transfers that where in Sigma Chi at their previous university. Sigma Chi at Cornell chose not to initiate several such transfers into the cornell chapter. They then joined another house. If a freshman goes through rush and drops because they only got “low tier” houses, you better make up a good reason why you dropped if you plan on rushing again because most houses will view such behavior as social climby and unattractive

Not true. There’re multiple guy transfers whi switched houses when they got here, including some Sig chi transfers. IFC doesn’t really care as much a Panhel.
