sorority life

i'm not involved in literally anything but i'm wondering how you'd say your overall sorority experience has been. i'm sure there are great girls anywhere but i'm just wondering what it's like to be in a sorority. also, since i'm lgbtq, i'm wondering what it'd be like to be queer in a sorority (if that exists as a thing at all).
i'm also wondering if sorority girls ever socialize with people outside of greek life. we all have very limited time and i get that but i always see these cliques of girls from the same sorority walking to class together, etc, etc
any other honest comments about greek experiences/frats/anything welcome :) just rly curious

I just rushed this semester, so I don't have a ton of experience with greek life yet, but so far I really love it. It's a really great way to meet people you probably would've never otherwise crossed paths with, whether they're in your house or in a different house that you mix with. I can't speak from personal experience to what it would be like being queer in a sorority, but for my house, at least, I can say they are very supportive of LGBTQ and were very clear about that when we all joined. And I definitely socialize a lot outside of my house. Even though I spend as much time as I can with girls in my house, I don't feel tied to only hang out with them.
