open bidding tips
by: Go for it
By now you should be seeing houses talking about open bidding either online (their own pages) or through angel emails!
Some advice-
Email the houses and give a brief description of yourself and say you’re interested in hearing about their open bid process. You do not need to give a lengthy excuse for why you are doing this. Just say you’re interested.
If you get called to meet with girls- see this as a chance to start over. Do not be nervous, now is the time to be yourself. Ask questions - let them get to know you. Learn as much as you can about their house.
Above all do not key rankings or rumors or anything you’ve read on here affect where you decide to try. Nothing on here represents what is true in the real world.
Many people who open bid fear coming in late but those who have will tell you that a majority of their sisters don’t even realize they did. You blend in so fast it’s not anything to worry about!
Best of luck open bidders!!

Approach every single house! It’s that simple. Some houses are going to take extra members and not even put it out there publicly. Friends of sisters will get those spots. Others will do it more officially. Either way, the sororities can take extra members if they want to. Approach them all.
