As a senior in a “bottom tier sorority” I can assure you that you will have a social life, long lasting friendships, and meaningful experiences in a house that isn’t core four.

Cornell has an especially wealthy and competitive student body, but don’t let that influence your decisions or ability to find your place at this school.

If you have found your place in one of the “Top houses” I am genuinely happy for you and wish you all the best. There is no one size fits all sorority/friend group wherever you are in life.

Yes, I also think that this is abnormal. Many girls have friends in all different houses. During rush the few people who are concerned with status in EVERY house create a bad name for the rest of the Greek community.
