They ask you when you start the new member education program. Once your roster is uploaded to Cornell's Student Information System, the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life can pull the aggregate GPA data for your house without accessing your individual grades. Houses with low GPAs get flagged for more attention from OSFL or nationals. It is also a criteria for houses trying to get off of probation.
