by: SwitchAnybody feel like IFC should switch up the current system of west and north smokers? IFC acts like social status doesn’t exist, but it plays a huge part in rush. The disparity between north and west is huge. With Sig Chi on suspension and DX kicked off where are kids going to go on north? PiKapp? ZBT? Phi Tau? West campus literally has almost every mid-tier and above frat. It makes rush worse cause freshman are basically limited to checking out 2-4 houses decent houses, with no options on north. Feel bad for Sammy, they’re in for a shock.

It’ll still be a huge advantage for those houses. They’ll get 2x the turnout of the mid-tier houses on west. With the freshmen rushing the north houses as backups, they’re gonna be only rushing upper-mid and upper houses on west. Mid tier on west gonna get screwed.I think it will be very competitive on west with the size reduction of the upper-mid (DX and Sig Nu gone so only Chi Phi/Fiji/Chi Psi left) and with some upper houses usually taking small PC’s (DU, Sig Phi, AD)...good rushes will get cut from west houses and end up going to those North houses.
