relevancy is relative

This is a reminder to people rushing panhell, IFC, MGLC, Band etc etc, literally just joining anything this next semester: The idea of relevancy is a load of crap. Everyone has their own social circle, your friends are the people that are relevant to you not someone one in a top house. The one thing everyone has to keep in mind,is make sure your choosing an organization with people you actually want to spend time with. If you end up with a choice between a "relevant house" and a not as "relevant" house, don't focus on anything but interpersonal relations. Even if you want to party harder or what ever a "top" (or wtf is up with this new elite tier thing? we didn't have that back in my day) house does more that the rest of them; if you can not see yourself having genuine relationships with those people, dip hard. You will be unhappy, and want to deactivate.
ALSO PANHELL RUSHES SPECIAL ATTN: don't drop after first round just because you got cut from core four. Also don't go into the process thinking you want a certain house because you will be disappointed because even if you know girls you love in one house doesn't mean they're representative of the entire organization. GIVE EVERY HOUSE A CHANCE. EVEN IF YOU THINK A "LOWER" HOUSE ISN'T WORTH YOUR TIME OR "CORE FOUR" IS SUPERFICIAL. You don't have to be fake just respectful. Girls get cut from the entire rush process every year for being betchy at one house because they're just there for the couple houses they have they're sight set on.
