Why are these houses on the decline? I'm a freshman and am thinking of rushing one of them that I think is filled with pretty cool brothers and who I think I can vibe with.

Then rush it. Don't fret too much about prestige if you really fit in with the brothers.

@tatiana Because of the way this site functions, and as a non-member of that fraternity or any other, I don't feel comfortable speaking explicitly in regards to that frat; simply out of respect to them. It'd be cool if you were to say what you were going to say though, but for all the frats you listed. I think it's only fair you do so, given your statement above.

Fiji: basically been on sopro for a couple years and finally got off this semester but now can't host registered events again according to Chi Psi. Last few PCs have been bad and the houses brotherhood seems to not be as close as years past. If they can't have cool events they're going to keep falling, which is what has happened.

Pike: Wack PCs have made the older kids literally deactivate from the house. Pike has lost 5 active brothers each of the past two semesters. house is falling apart and is setup bad for parties. trick kids into taking bids then when they realize they don't like the house it's too late which explains drops.

Don’t listen to what chi psi is telling you about another frat. Chi psi is filled with social climbers who put down other frats on here trying to improve their rankings.

In my experience both those houses are solid mid-tier options. Fiji has a generally good reputation amongst upper/mid-tier sororities, tight brotherhood (albeit on sopro and tough pledging). While pike has a diverse and nice brotherhood with decent sorority relations, and nice physical location on campus

In a house not listed on here but I think Pi Kapp should be off the list. They're not rising for sure but they're at the very least staying where they currently are.

From a different frat perspective, I know alot of guys in all of these houses and they are all doing just fine. I wouldn't let his impact your decision at all.

I personally believe Greek life is on the decline and it would be an irreparable mistake for you to rush at all. Godspeed, potion seller. May you find peace, no matter your tier.
