spring rush question

For a lot of the upper-middle and top frats, are most kids that get bids guys that have been going to the dirty rush events or kids that they meet during rush week. Asking cause there's frats I haven't gone to dirty rush stuff yet and I wanna know if its worth to show up during rush week with only knowing like 2 or 3 kids that those frats.

I know for my frat (upper middle) we take about 1/3/-1/2 from dirty rush. A lot of times the chillest kids aren’t the ones who have been dying to get in from day one

As someone in a “top” house, definitely hit smokers in the spring. Good amout of every pledge class comes from guys we meet that week.
