Why do people care so much about "rank"? At the end of the day you're going to get drunk and not remember it, then why place so much emphasis on who you do it with?

Frats and sororitys do so much stuff under the table anyway and are always getting in trouble for things that shouldn't be done in the first place... I'm not sure why you don't have each other's backs instead of competing for a perceived "rank"
