parties
by: lithow do the parties at Cornell compare to other schools? I've heard from some people that the only fun parties are at the top tier houses, and i dont think i can get into one.

i mean, if you are expecting state school parties like at asu or something, you just arent gonna find that at Cornell. you just gotta be realistic, this is an ivy league college, and though our greeklife is a lot stronger than the other colleges, the parties arent anywhere as big.

To answer your question if the only fun parties are at top houses, the answer is no. You can have a great time and party in a “lower” house. Thinking back to the best and worst parties I’ve been to at Cornell, there’s been little correlation between house rank and how good of a time I had. Yeah, compared to state schools, Cornell isn’t that crazy, but it’s still better than a whole lot of places.

i mean i didnt have much fun at the frat parties ive been too either..maybe i just havent been going to the right ones. hoping the parties get better once i graduate

Never really had much fun at frat parties here, enjoyed the bar scene a lot more
