how does national rep effect individual chapters?

by: Ex Statey

Genuine question. A prime example is pike. Pike is top tier at almost every school they are at. I know pike at Cornell is new and not top tier but do you think their national rep will slowly push them to upper tier? The same could be said for sig chi who has a good national rep and is also a top house. Do you think if they got kicked off their national rep would push em to top? jw

Pike used to be top tier then they got kicked off. Highly doubt they'll ever get back to that level. They lack the physical house and personality to get any higher than they already are

Does quality of house really matter? Some of the nicest houses are in the bottom/bottom mid tier (thumpties)

sig chi, sig phi, and alpha delt have top 10 houses, whereas pike's is tiny and can't host crap

I think pike's house is ok. But I do agree the nicest houses are in the mid/bottom tier. Beta, Thumpties, Phi Sig, ect.

on the flip side, frats like lambda are terrible nationally, but dominate here; national rep doesn't really apply much at cornell

I mean kappa sig and pike started at the same time (2014) and I think pike is doing a lot better because they had stronger national support.

National rep does little, takes long time. Phi Mu and AXID are nationally strong sororities. They are top tier at many schools, but here, slow to move up.
