social life after dropping
by: a lil scaredso i realize this is ironic to post on a Greek website but I dropped from rush bc my final houses didn't seem to click. as i'm applying for housing on West, I'm becoming more and more worried that I'm going to be surrounded by people who only want to study and talk about Star Trek (not that there's anything wrong w/ that, it's just not my vibe). does anyone have a good story about friends who still managed to have fun sophomore year without being in a sorority? is it worth it to try to rush again next Fall or Spring?

I was actually in your exact situation last year... I dropped out of rush and was really worried about living on west. It ended up that 2 of my best friends also dropped out of rush so we were able to block together, but I'm gonna be honest: housing on west insta really social. You talk with your friends but you're not really gonna meet a ton of other people like you probably did freshman year. Having said that, I've still had a really good experience on west... the food is good and you can hang with any of your other friends who opted not to go Greek (also, if you're considering it, I did end up re-rushing and ended up in a house I love and I have no regrets!!)
