sorority gpa cutoff

I've seen several different posts regarding a GPA "cutoff" where sororities may not ask you back depending on your GPA. I was wondering how much does GPA really matter and what the cutoff number is.

Yep this is a thing but only for really selective sororities that really have no other way of making cuts and is usually around 3.0 sometimes 3.5 so not a super big deal

Does this negatively affect girls in difficult majors like Engineering, where the typical first semester GPA is around 2.7-2.75 or a little below or above?

it probably will but very few sororities ever have to resort to this i heard only theta did it last year

and even then it's only if you're on the edge and theyre not sure about you
