sophmore spring transfer rush

by:

Ill be transfering into Cornell starting next semester as a sophmore, and will likely want to rush to meet people quickly/adjust to a new campus etc...how does the rush process work for sophmores in the spring, and how hard would it be to get a bid as a sophomore not knowing anyone beforehand? (I think rush is before I would even take my first class at cornell). Also, if anyone has brief descriptions of what houses might be like that could be helpful as I dont know anything about cornell greek life.

I would say go for it. I'm gonna rush without doing much prerush. Anyone can get a bid it's just less likely from a top house so depends if u care about that. You will realize when you get here that Greek life controls social life so u will be grateful if u rush rather than have a boring semester and try as a junior. Good luck man

Pretty much every house will keep an open mind so just rush. Don't worry about that. What type of vibe are you looking for? That'll help with house suggestions.

I'm just truthfully tryna join a house that throws wild parties and have dudes that go ham. People say that generally parties are the same throughout all the frats but I've been to parties at Phi Delt and when I compare that to Alpha Delt or Phi Psi they are very different.
