how many houses

are you interested in any particular houses on north/west?

if you're rushing without really having a first choice, how long should you stay at each house before first contacts? until you meet all of the brothers or just have a few good conversations?

i'm trying to plan out my rush schedule as well, which fraternities usually have brothers outnumber PNMs on the first day vs PNMs outnumbering brothers?

I'm rushing a range of fraternities from "top tier" to the rest so I want to make my first day of rush as efficient as possible.

I would say go to the houses last that you want the most. Later into the smokers people start to leave producing a more equal ratio of brothers to rushes. With less rushes you'll have more opportunities to talk to brothers. Hope this helps!

Someone answer goddess' question

On the first few days you should probably go to around 6-10 houses total (e.g. 3 on north, 4 on west). Basically stay until you've formulated a good opinion on the house and personally talked to a few brothers. The actives may or may not invite you to a rush event that night. If they don't but you feel like you made a good impression, they may text you later. If you come around to around 7 houses and are yourself during smokers then you should probably expect at least 3 contacts. By that time you'll have gone to some houses at night, know the guys better, and have developed more opinions. The second round you should spend more time at the houses you care about because when they vote, they're looking for kids that they have gotten to know. I would go to no more than 5 before second contacts and at this point hopefully you'll get 2-3.

It's important that you don't rush only one house - it makes you look like a tryhard to the brothers and you're screwed if it doesn't work out.
