middle tier fraternities

There seem to be plenty of posts about the top tiers, but for those of us who aren't 100% suicide rushing, can someone describe either
Phi sig, Chi Phi, Chi Psi, FIJI, Pike, Sammy, or Llenroc?

PART 2:
Middle Tier:
Chi Psi: Chi Psi was suspended for the past three years for hazing (peeing on pledges in cages). Their nationals selected a new PC for them which wasn’t ideal, but they underground rushed for the past three years and it’s just one PC, so they’ll be on the rise eventually. Nicest house on campus, bar none.
Pike: VERY social climbey, but the guys aren't too bad. The house is nice but in general just very average. You won’t have your best night of the semester here, but you also won’t have your worst one. Their new PC is painfully social climbey, but there’s good guys in every PC.
Phi Sig: Similar to Pike in terms of being average, but a lot of the guys are friendly and less social climbey than Pike. I personally like Phi Sig’s new PC much more than Pike’s. Solid physical house.
Sammy: Here’s where things drop off. Sammy’s brothers aren’t too bad, but their house is near RPCC and looks like a dorm. Their parties resultantly aren’t that fun because they get super cramped and is a claustrophobic’s worst nightmare. I like their new PC.
Sig Ep: Unpopular around campus because many brothers talk a lot of smack about other houses that either cut them during rush or ones they just don’t like. Their parties are usually open but often the guy at the door can go on an ego trip and sends you away even if you name drop. The house looks like a dorm, and the brotherhood as a whole has a huge inferiority complex. Easily my least favorite house of the ones you listed.
Commentby: social climbing
Most frats do try and social climb. Lambda started back with their current seniors and juniors. You hear it a lot, even last year with the common joke, "phi tau on the rise". It's normally a dig at houses made by other frats or sororitys at the same level. Ex. AZD and AXO threads always talk about social climbing. Kappa and SDT yelling at each other on social climbing. I would bet that this is a guy trying to subtly dig at other middle houses to make their middle house seem better. Just go through rush and find guys you like, and you'll be much happier.

ZBT would be above sammy. However they really aren't as relevant as they think they are. They self rank a lot, but sororities don't really like them.

One thing to note on hazing in general: I saw something about that "Hazed and Confused" article, but that article was from 2004 and things have been changed in every frat since 2012, when the SAE hazing incident (brother was killed) happened, so there's no way Fiji's or any house's hazing is that bad anymore. Very few houses do forced drinking anymore, since I guess the guys realized that forcing people to drink is stupid when they all like drinking anyway haha

as bad as to kill a kid. Hopefully not. But anyone who has any close friends in frats know that bad hazing still exists. about 7 houses were investigated last year. FIJI and Pi Kap were the 2 that had the hazing allegations stick and were very much reprimanded. Some of the current hazing still includes locking kids in rooms until they finish a certain amount of alcohol, call ups, line ups, forced to eat weird things, etc. Although hopefully people are safe enough not to kill kids, bad hazing is still around.

You're right about the investigations, but to clarify, the only reason Fiji and Pi Kapp were the only ones put on interim suspension while being investigated is because the other fraternities were reported for it but had no concrete evidence (for instance, Alpha Delt was reported to have done a lot of what you said -- forced pledges into a room and didn't let them eat or drink anything but spiked drinks for a full weekend) so the university dropped investigations. Fiji was investigated because a pledge had been drinking at the house and was let off because after a while it was clear that the kid was just drinking at the house and they weren't doing anything, and Pi Kapp was let off because it removed the brother who'd posted the picture of him hazing pledges. That all said, hazing is definitely still around, but I haven't met anyone that hasn't told me that it was within reason.

Yes Alpha delt and Lambda are definitely two of the worst. However Fiji wasn't actually let off. Nationals punished them revoking their ability to drink in their own house. Also, they were deemed to have conducted hazing which is important because now they have less leeway if new issues arise.

PSA: Look at "My Opinion"'s writeup of these frats. That's really as accurate as you'll get, especially about Sig Ep. So many of the brothers go on here to self-rank and thumbs up their own posts and thumbs down everyone else's, so it's refreshing to see such an accurate description of them on here, finally.

No one liked them to begin with. Their hazing incident last semester just finished the job

They were ehh. A lot of them were rejects from lower upper tier and high middle tier. Same vibe as previous pledge classes. Nice guys, some weird guys, some really weird guys, but nothing that great
