Oh my god, i love you PNMs, but you have GOT to stop with this "top house" business. While some houses are older (as in they have been at USC the longest), which makes them well-known on campus, all of our sororities are great. If you're not in a sorority and especially if you haven't gone through rush, you won't understand that each house has its own personality, strengths, and weaknesses. You will get a bid where you make a match with the house and the values/character traits that specific sorority is looking for. It's not about being "cool" it's about sisterhood. All of the sororities at USC are fantastic (and I say this coming from a 'top tier' sorority), and I have friends from almost all of them. Also, everyone's sisterhood is meaningful and important to them, and all of the sororities have special traditions, as well as fun events, from ADPi to ZTA to Kappa to PiPhi to GPhi to KD. It's not a popularity competition, and if you want to rush to be know for being in the "cool" sorority, you're rushing for the wrong reasons, and you will probably look down on other chapters who may be a great fit just because you count them out. Yes, as a sophomore with a good GPA, you'll get a bid to a house you make a match with, and I hope that you find your home. I think you really need to think about your reasons for rushing before doing so.

I know the girls who are only on this site to find a top house will probably disregard this but seriously, this is so true
