are there a lot of parties and events

I am a Senior in high school and trying to pick a college. I want to be involved in greek life but from what I have heard, South Carolina greek life doesn't have many parties or events. It isn't the only important thing to me but frats can't even have parties at their houses from my understanding? Also, I heard that most sororities have 1 social event a semester. So can someone just let me know how often greeks have mixers/parties and events.

My sorority has about 5 or 6 socials a semester. 3 functions and 2 or 3 mixers! The guys have parties upstairs in their houses all the time, the person who told you they don't probably just don't get invited...

i'm a senior and tbh our greek life is super strict due to its large size. If you're looking for greek life you see in movies, USC is not going to deliver. UGA's greek life is more what you're looking for. I still love my school and I wouldn't base your college decision based on greek life, but if you are, there's the honest truth.
