As someone who went through rush and didn't end up joining a sorority, I am unbiased & this is how myself and most of my friends see them:

Actually I would say that because you didn't join you are one of the most biased. The majority of the girls who dropped recruitment were the ones who got dropped from their top choices and thought they were too good for a "bottom chapter."
