They do at the university of Southern California. But every sorority at USC does for rush because we don't want pnms to see our underwear when we jump in dresses

we definitely don't... we just require the dresses to be long enough that your underwear doesn't show when you're doing your cheers and stuff

I wear a size zero and I too had to wear spanx one year because we ALL were required to wear them. And when you're bouncing around and kneeling around in a dress you'll be happy you have them on.
