ok so im wondering if going for pi phi would be a good choice. I dont really care about the ranking, but I dont want to be joining a sorority that is built on girls without similar interests. I get that helping to colonize a sorority on campus is a good opportunity, but is it worth the risk of potentially being surrounded by a bunch of people that were handed bids because of a need for new members?

that sounds like a question you need to ask yourself not anyone else. and it sounds like you may already know your answer?

i guess my question would be if newly colonized sororities will have a group with a wide range of interests. I'm not sure of that. From what I've heard, more established sororities on campus recruit girls of similar interests and personalities.

every group has stereotypes based on slight truths but every group has diversity. a new sorority trying to get members will probably cast a wider net.

but it's also like no one will be in an already formed clique, so there is more opportunity to form groups of friends easier than if you were in an already established sorority.
